Recently a Dutch magazine ran a article about Rihanna. In the editorial the author calls Rihanna the racial slur “n****b**ch”. When hearing this slam Rihanna took to Twitter.
RiRi angrily tweeted her thoughts to the editor of the Dutch magazine, Eva Hoeke(@EvaJackie), saying “I hope u can read english, because your magazine is a poor representation of the evolution of human rights! I find you disrespectful, and rather desperate!! You ran out of legit, civilized information to print! There are 1000’s of Dutch girls who would love to be recognized for their contributions to your country, you could have given them an article. Instead, u paid to print one degrading an entire race! That’s your contribution to this world! To encourage segregation, to mislead the future leaders to act in the past! You put two words together, with the intent of abasement, that made no sense…’Ni*** B**ch’?!….Well with all respect, on behalf of my race, here are my two words for you…F*** YOU!!!”
Right on RiRi! The editor later apologized for this article explaining that it was a joke gone wrong. She justified the slur featured in the article by saying this type of “slang” is on television and radio all the time. Does that make it right?
No, that in no way dignifies the use of such racial degradations. It is true that many people use that word on television and radio, but that’s just ignorance at it’s best. Eva you should have had more sense! Also take responsibility for your actions. You seem to be putting the blame off on the author of the article and current media, but you are the EDITOR! You allowed this type of language in your magazine!
Eva you also say that the author has been addressed on the article. Don’t insult our intelligence! That’s just your way of saying that you talked to the person, but in actuality the person was probably rewarded for the publicity they brought your magazine.
Rihanna was completely warranted in her words. We just hope that RiRi continues to TALK THAT TALK!
